Description

A Triad Corporate Applications Engineer helps customers take their great ideas to integrated chip solutions. You will serve as the primary technical resource for all pre-sales activities at Triad and are responsible for analyzing customers’ requests, proposing integration architectures, demonstrating the benefits of Triad technology, and conveying the value of our solutions.

Excellent Corporate Applications Engineers at Triad share these qualities:

  • You like meeting new people – phone conversations, web meetings, and face-to-face.
  • You don’t mind some travel – in fact, you should be excited by the opportunity to spend up to 25% of your time on the road meeting new customers
  • You like people and people like you – you have an outgoing personality and can work well with both engineers and salespeople.
  • You must love seeing block diagrams and discussing new ideas. If you are a good fit for this position you will enjoy constantly being asked to review circuits and problems that are new to you. If you are a lifelong learner, don’t like doing the same thing over and over, and do like variety then you will be a good fit.
  • You can handle deadlines and pressure. You analyze a customer’s needs and provide a proposed solution in just a few weeks. Sometimes your inputs are needed very quickly and you must respond with quality answers.
  • You understand the business side of new product development. You can work with our design engineering and operations teams to estimate per unit costs, evaluate project development costs, and negotiate pricing. You know how to promote the value of Triad’s solutions to customers and contribute to our corporate strategies.
  • You are still a real engineer. You need to be able to do a great job analyzing customers’ systems, understanding their problems, and coming up with integration solutions that map well to Triad’s technology. You are also at a point in your career where you can let go of carrying a project from start to finish. The real difference between you and a Triad design engineer is that you stop working on the project once the architecture is completed. You get to see lots of cool projects, learn about them, and help architect them for chip integration but then you hand them over to design engineering.
  • People will trust Triad because they trust you.
