The Triad Engagement Model is as varied as our customers. We’re flexible to meet your unique requirements. Triad Semiconductor has a dedicated staff of ASIC designers experienced in analog, digital and mixed-signal ASIC design. With support ranging from system architects to ASIC production, Triad lets you focus on your core business while we design and manufacture your ASIC.
Our ASIC design flow utilizes industry standard front-end development and simulation tools. Triad’s design methodology removes the need for expensive back-end layout, place & route, and physical extraction tools, reducing the cost to develop a mixed-signal ASIC. With silicon-proven IP and via-configurable technology, Triad Semiconductor provides reduced development time while reducing the risk associated with ASIC development.

Turnkey ASIC Support
Triad supports full turnkey ASIC development. Our Field Applications group, along with our experienced ASIC design engineers, work with customer inputs to develop the complete ASIC specification. Many times, this includes analyzing the discrete digital and analog implementation. In the turnkey model, the customer will hand-off a system specification, block diagram or ASIC specification. Triad engineering will architect the VCA ASIC to meet customer requirements. With design reviews at key stages, Triad assures that the delivered silicon is production ready.
Triad Customer Service continues our support through the production of your ASIC.
Customer-driven Design
Customers can create a complete mixed signal VCA design using their own tools along with Triad’s mixed signal design kit (MDK). The Triad MDK contains VCA primitive datasheets, SPICE-compatible macro models of analog components, digital simulation libraries, and digital synthesis libraries. Customers perform HDL/Schematic capture for the analog and digital portions of the design, simulation, and digital synthesis.
The synthesized gate-level netlist of the digital design along with the SPICE netlist for the analog section is submitted to Triad. Triad provides the back end support using VCA-specific via-only place and route software. After place and route, we tape-out the design to the foundry for single mask fabrication.
Prototypes are available from the foundry 4 weeks after tape-out. Production silicon is available immediately following prototype approval.
Cooperative Design
Triad engineering works with customers to successfully migrate your discrete analog and digital design to a VCA. Many customers may have expertise in digital design but may be lacking in analog design capacity or vice versa. Triad engineering is available to provide analog, digital or mixed signal design services to migrate your design to a VCA.
Triad is here to help companies reach their production cost targets. Our experienced engineering staff and operations team support our customers from system design through ASIC delivery.
Getting Started

Triad Semiconductor will provide you with an ASIC analysis and detailed proposal at no charge.
Get Started
Use this form to contact us and get started with your next mixed signal project:
To get started, we’ll need your technical information. In some cases, that will include your ASIC specification. For most customers, we work with system-level schematics, block diagrams, or a “back of the napkin” description of your requirements. Triad analyzes the trade-offs and options to identify the best ASIC solution.
In our proposal, we detail the ASIC development effort, schedule, nonrecurring engineering (NRE) charges and production pricing.
The Triad mixed signal ASIC solution is supported by our patented VCA technology. This assures that your ASIC gets to production fast with significantly reduces risk. The Triad team - from ASIC development through production - is here to support you.
