Yes, a Swift (the bird) can actually ‘sleep’ while in flight. Now, that’s an extremely interesting metaphor for power-aware applications. Seems that technology that is Swift-like would have the ability to effortlessly go back and forth between high-performance compute intensive operation and deep-sleep power savings modes.
